Recap: September 25 What the Truck?! at Churchill Square

And that’s a wrap!

Thank you to those who made it out to Churchill Square for our final event of the season! Everyone seemed to enjoy the nice, mild fall weather and many also took advantage of Free Admission Day.

If you stopped by our info booth, you may have noticed a small memorial set up for Ernesto Rizzi, owner of Dolce & Banana food truck who suddenly passed away recently. Our thoughts are with his family and friends who are going through this difficult time. We’re happy to have worked with Ernesto in the past.

We welcomed back Edmonton’s Food Bank to our event, raising approximately $670 and 29 kg in food donations. Our entire season helped raise over $3300 and 226 kg of food! A big thank you to everyone who donated!

We also couldn’t have done it without our awesome volunteers. We were also lucky enough to have St. John Ambulance volunteers on site for first aid. Also a big thank you to our DJ who provided us with some great music at Churchill and through some of our past events.

To our sponsors – THANK YOU! Infinite Eye Photography, one of our season sponsors, who brought the Motor Photo Truck, and to our other sponsors – GFL Environmental Waste Management, Hendrix Restaurant Equipment and Supplies, and Eberhardt Foods.
