Ahh this looks great, but it would be really handy knowing what things are vegan 🙂

    • Sorry, we do what we can to identify vegetarian and gluten-free items. For vegan items, you’ll have to get in touch with the trucks themselves!

  • The perfect way to end the work week and head into the long weekend. And a gorgeous view of the valley!

Thank you for indicating the gluten free items.  As a parent of a newly diagnosed child with celiac disease we are reluctant to attend these events without knowing in advance if there will be items she can eat.

    • Ethiop

As a fellow celiac, I love the effort that some of the food trucks put into offering options we can eat (Molly’s Eats gf chocolate cookie is awesome and can be broken into portions – it’s huge – for your celiac daughter to enjoy over and over).

I wish the same effort was available for those of us with nut allergies. I was disappointed when The Act – I was so looking forward to trying their gluten-free dishes – decided to put peanut butter on their burger a few weeks back. The cross contamination risk made their GF offerings inaccessible.

Short term exposure to gluten won’t kill me. Nuts will. Makes it harder to support these awesome events to the degree I’d like to but we’ve certainly learned to check the posted menus before driving across town to attend.

Ooh, I should also mention that I really appreciate the effort Mack & Sharon & all the food vendors put into What the Truck. I know they can’t please everyone. I just wish I could participate (by eating of course) more often than I do.

Can hardly wait, what a lot of fun for our neighborhood.

Excited! This will be my first time at this event, and delighted to see the vegetarian options.

l love the lunch trucks but would like to have a specific vegan one where what’s in it is not a concern, and I could just go and order anything on the menu without compromising my belief and health.
